Since our Bình-Định SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System comes under the thousand years old Traditional Martial Arts of Việt-Nam, the Ranks and Degrees Passage Exam is inherent, by way of consequence, in the Battle Fields Martial Arts Tradition of bygone days.

For this reason, concerning the Fighting with Bare Hands, our Bình-Định SA-LONG-CƯƠNG School System don't bank on means of Passive Defence by fitting out Martial Students with Plastron Training Body Protector used in current «Competitive Sports Martial Arts», but turn one's all attention to means of Active Defence inherent in techniques of combat coming under «Battle Fields Martial Arts».

As for Combat with edged Weapons, inherent in « Armoured Tournament Art », Martial Students wear a tempered steel Đại-Việt Medieval Armour.

Thus, for conserving the pedagogic quality and the pragmatic efficiency of Bình-Định Traditional Martial Arts - as for helping Martial Students to well understand the difference between « Battle Fields Martial Arts » and « Self-Defence Martial Arts » or « Competitive Sports Martial Arts » - the Ranks and Degrees Passage Exam is established, in our Teaching Programme, as following :
